Fifth Street will close to traffic beginning on Wednesday, April 3rd for utility and street construction work.
Please note: Despite barricades having been placed in preparation for the work, full access will be maintained to the Whiting Boathouse polling site during the election.
Once the closure begins on April 3rd, the road will have limited accessibility for residents Monday through Friday during the month of April. After the utility work has been completed, the contractor will let the road settle during the month of May. Road reconstruction will be completed in June prior to the July 4th celebration. Access to the boat launch will remain open on weekends, but please note that rough road conditions will exist for the entire duration of the project.
