Christmas trees need to be placed curbside as soon as possible. There is no set schedule at this time. City crews will be picking up trees for the next couple of weeks.
Weekly curb side yard waste pickup in the spring begins April 10 and runs to May 15, 2023.
Weekly yard waste pick up will be the day following your normally scheduled refuse collection. We do not collect loose brush during this time. See the front page of the 2023 Recycling and Refuse Guide
Beginning on June 5 through November 13, 2023, yard waste is picked up monthly. See page the front page of the 2023 Recycling and Refuse Guide for pickup dates in your area. All yard waste must be in 35 gallon garbage cans with handles, bushel baskets, or smaller containers which weigh less than 50 pounds each. Biodegradable paper bags (30 gallon) may be used.
Hedge trimmings, garden debris, and fine brush should be placed loosely in cans or baskets not to exceed 35 gallons in size or 50 pounds in weight or in 30 gallon biodegradable paper bags. Small amounts of brush should be bundled, 2 feet in diameter by 4 feet long and tied with heavy cord. Large amounts of brush up to 3 inches in diameter should be kept long and placed adjacent to the street with the butt ends facing one direction for chipping.
Yard waste drop off site is available at the Tullar Road Garage at 1495 Tullar Road.
Place leaves loose on the terrace for pickup. No plastic bags or containers of leaves will be collected. To avoid polluting storm sewers and to prevent traffic hazards, do not rake leaves or grass into the street. The collection schedule is subject to delay due to weather conditions and will continue until weather prohibits (snow or ice) or the last scheduled collection day in your area, whichever comes first. If the weather does prevent the City from completing the leaf collection, residents are responsible for disposal of their leaves.
