Drawing Ballot Placement – Aldermanic District 1

Due to the race having more than two candidates for Aldermanic District 1, a Spring Primary will be held on February 20, 2024. 

The public is welcome to attend and witness the drawing of names for the Aldermanic District 1 race.  The names that will be drawn listed below are in no particular order:

Aldermanic District 1 Candidates:

• Kristin Sandvick
• Brian Roeh
• Mark A. Ellis

Candidate names will be drawn at random for ballot placement on Friday, January 5th, 2024 in the Hauser Room, located inside City Hall, 211 Walnut Street at 10:00 AM for those who wish to attend. Names will be drawn from a city provided container with equally sized folded up name slips.

Please note the Aldermanic Districts 2 and 3 that are up for April Election have either two opponents or are non-contested races.  As a result, drawing for these races will occur after the Spring Primary once the two candidates for Aldermanic District 1 are determined.

The drawing is open to the public.
