GIS & Mapping

The Geographic Information System (GIS) Office is part of the Community Development Department, and is responsible for managing geospatial data for the City of Neenah. The mission of the GIS Office is to provide accurate and timely geographic information, mapping services, technical support, and system access to meet the needs of the City – both internally by the various departments, as well as the general public.

What is GIS? A Geographic Information System is an integrated system of hardware, software, trained staff, and geographic data.  It allows a user to create “intelligent maps” by providing the tools necessary to organize geospatial information so that it can be displayed and analyzed – helping the user visualize the data.
