The City of Neenah is currently seeking applications to fill a vacancy for an Alderperson in the 2nd District.  The vacancy was created with the election of Alderman Brian Borchardt as Mayor.  The new appointee will serve the remainder of his aldermanic current term expiring April 20, 2027.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age;
  • A resident of the 2nd District;
  • Ability to attend weekly evening meetings; and
  • Must be available to give a brief presentation at the June 3rd Common Council Meeting

As a City Council member, you help set policy, represent your neighbors, and make decisions that impact our community every day.

How to Apply:

Interested residents from the 2nd District should complete the Application for Appointment and return it to the Clerk’s Office in City Hall.  Applications can be  completed online or be picked up in person from the Clerk’s Office. 

Applications must be received by noon on May 29, 2026 to be considered.

Selected applicants will be required to attend the June 3rd Common Council meeting at 6:00pm to provide a brief presentation to the Council highlighting their qualifications and interests in this role. The Council will evaluate the presentations and vote; after which, an appointment will be made, the appointee will be sworn in by the Clerk, and the appointee will attend the remainder of the meeting as a voting Council Member.
