Qualifications
Did you receive your lottery and gaming credit? If you do not have a lottery/gaming credit on your tax bill, you may still be eligible. To qualify for the lottery and gaming credit, you must be a Wisconsin resident, own a dwelling and use it as your primary residence as of the January 1 certification date of the year the property taxes are imposed. A property owner may claim only one primary residence.

How to Apply
Online forms are replacing lottery and gaming credit PDF forms. Property owners can file for the lottery and gaming credit completely online through the Lottery Credit Online Application Portal – without the added step of printing, mailing or emailing. The system guides property owners to the correct form through a selection page with help bubbles to provide guidance along the way.

Late Lottery Credit
If you missed the January 31st deadline to claim the lottery credit, a claim can be submitted on the Lottery Credit Online Application Portal, select the tax bill year to claim the lottery credit. The filing period is from February 1st through October 1st. A copy of the tax bill will need to be submitted with the application. To find a copy of a tax bill, use the following link:

Once approved, the lottery credit will be applied to the property for all future years.
Tax bills are mailed to the property owner at the property address by mid- December of the current tax year. You can have the bill mailed to an alternate address by contacting the City Assessor’s office at 920-886-6130.
The first installment is due January 31 and includes one- fourth of the tax bill plus all additional assessments added to the bill for that tax year. The remaining installments are due on March 31, May 31 and July 31.
Besides City Hall at 211 Walnut Street, in person payments can also be made at the following Neenah financial locations through January 31st:

All escrow checks must be property endorsed by all parties before we can accept payment for the tax bill.
On-line payments with credit card or e-check can be made here. A service fee will be charged by MSB.

If your mortgage escrow check is larger than the amount of your tax bill you will be issued a refund check. Refunds are generally issued within 30 days of payment. If you wish to obtain your refund earlier, please pay at one of the financials listed above.
You can reprint your tax bill on the Property Information page. Prior years bills are also available for printing.
The City of Neenah will charge a penalty fee based upon the amount of the payment you are making whether it’s a partial payment or payment in full per the State of Wisconsin Statues. Please see the back of your tax bill for further explanation.
