The Finance Department directs and controls city fiscal programs including performing statutory controller and treasury functions. Other duties include financial analyses, preparation and administration of city budgets, administration of borrowing, risk control, and insurance programs, direction of independent audits, and the recommendation and implementation of fiscal management and internal control practices.

The Treasurer’s Office which offers drive-up window service and a night deposit box is located on the first floor of City Hall at 211 Walnut Street. All payments due to the city including property tax payments, special assessments, water and sewer utility bills, and fees for a variety of licenses and permits are collected in the Treasurer’s Office. Information about pet licenses, boat launching permits, public parking permits, and Oak Hill Cemetery fees and regulations are available as a PDF.
