Thank you for your interest in the City of Neenah Building Inspection Division of the Department of Community Development. Inspectors are in the office Monday – Friday 7:30 – 9:00 a.m.; 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.; 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
If you are constructing a new structure, remodeling or changing the use of an existing structure, you will require Building Inspection services to assist you in this process. The Inspection Division provides citizens, businesses and residents with information on permits needed for building or remodeling as well as costs and procedures for obtaining a permit and inspections. The department inspects buildings, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and electrical work on commercial, industrial, residential buildings and also enforces city ordinances relating to flood plain, zoning, land use and property upkeep.
We recommend that you involve the Department of Community Development in the initial planning of your project to avoid unnecessary and perhaps costly surprises along the way. Digital Plan Submission
The City of Neenah requires new 1&2 family homes and major commercial, multifamily and industrial projects to provide digital versions (PDF files) of construction plans and documents. This includes a general site plan, floor plans, building elevations and any state forms normally submitted at the time of permit Application. The City of Neenah will use this information exclusively to maintain a digital data base of all new buildings and significant features in Neenah.
