Did you know the Neenah Police Department has a meeting space available for the public to use? The D.J. Forcey, Jr. Community Room is available to use as a free public service to the community, regardless of the beliefs and affiliations of the individual or group using the room. Groups or individuals using the space may not discriminate based on Wisconsin or Federal Civil Rights Statutes.

The Community Room may not be used for commercial events where a fee is a charged or where products, services, or memberships are advertised, solicited, or sold. Classes offered by non-profit educational institutions and organizations may charge a class fee. 

The Neenah Police Department provides the Community Room as a service to the community, and the use of the room does not constitute police department endorsement of the viewpoints expressed by presenters or participants. Anyone using the room shall not publicize the event in any way that implies it is sponsored, co-sponsored, endorsed, or approved by the police department unless permission has been granted in advance by a member of the police department command staff.

How do I reserve the Community Room for my next event?

How many people can fit in the Community Room?

The Community Room can accommodate up to 70 people.

Is there a fee to reserve and use the room?

No, use of the Community Room is available to use as a free public service to the community.

What types of groups or organizations can use the room?

The Community Room maybe used for classes, club events, home schooling events, religious services, business meetings, study groups, candidate forums. legal negotiations, recitals, group projects, etc. The room may not be used for commercial events where a fee is charged or where products, services, or memberships are advertised, solicited, or sold. Classes offered by non-profit educational institutions and organizations may charge a class fee.

Events that are disruptive of normal police department operations are not permitted. All meeting groups must adhere to the Community Room rules. Groups or individuals using the space may not discriminate based on Wisconsin or Federal Civil Rights Statutes. The Neenah Police Department reserves the right to refuse use of the space. All Neenah Police Department programs and events take precedence over external groups.

Can I decorate the Community Room for my event?

No scotch tape, thumb tacks, or similar fasteners of any kind can be used on any surfaces, including walls, ceilings, light fixtures, etc. Table decorating is allowed. If damage is done to walls or other surfaces, you will be charged for the repairs.

Will someone set up and clean up the room before and after my event?

Individuals and groups using the Community Room are responsible for setup and for tidying the room before they leave. If additional cleanup is required as a result of your use, the person who made the request will be charged a $25.00 fee.

Setup and cleanup are allowed only during the time specified on your reservation request. Do not leave anything in the room before or after your requested time. The police department is not responsible for items left in the Community Room.

Are food/beverages allowed in the Community Room?

Yes, refreshments and meals may be served, but cooking is prohibited. Alcohol use is prohibited on police department property. Smoking is not allowed inside the police department. Individuals and groups using the Community Room are responsible for tidying the room before they leave. If additional cleanup is required as a result of your use, the person who made the request will be charged a $25.00 fee.

Can I arrive early to set up before my event?

You may occupy the room only for the time specified on your request. Setup and cleanup are allowed only during the time specified on your reservation request. Do not leave anything in the room before or after your requested time. The police department is not responsible for items left in the Community Room.

Is my pet allowed in the Community Room?

No animals, except service animals, are allowed in the Community Room or the Neenah Police Department.
