Yard Waste & Brush

All yard waste and brush must be placed curbside by 6:30 AM the day of collection.  Yard waste/brush should not be placed more than 24 hours ahead of the scheduled day of collection or the property owner may be billed a minimum of $105 special collection fee.

All yard waste must be in 35-gallon garbage cans with handles, bushel baskets, or smaller containers that weigh less than 50 pounds.

Do not use plastic bags or cardboard boxes for yard waste.  You may use the biodegradable paper bags.

Small amounts of brush, 2" in diameter by 4' long should be bundled and tied with heavy cord or twine (no wire) or placed in 30-gallon biodegradable bags, or placed loosely in cans.

Large branches up to 3" in diameter, should be kept long and placed adjacent to the street with the cut ends facing the same direction as traffic flow would be for your side of the street.

The city does not collect yard waste or brush at vacant lots.

Yard waste and brush collection can take two to three days to complete.  City crews start with collection of bags, bins and other containers containing yard waste.  Depending on the volume this may take a whole day or more to complete.  Please be patient, it will get picked up.

Residents who have loose brush may not see it collected on the scheduled day.  This is because collection of bagged and binned yard waste can take a whole day or more to complete.  Crews will note the homes that have loose brush and return the next day to collect it.

The City of Neenah will pick up Christmas trees in January. Residents need to place trees curbside anytime after the 2nd week of January.
